FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE
WASHINGTON, D.C., June 11, 2026 — GreenMet today announced an expansion of its engagement across Africa, beginning with a strategic visit to Nigeria and continued efforts to strengthen relationships throughout the region.
As part of the visit, Drew Horn, Founder and CEO of GreenMet, will participate in the National Private Security Conference in Abuja, joining leaders from across government, industry, and the security sector to discuss the role of critical minerals, resource security, and economic development in shaping the future of global supply chains.
Africa is poised to play an increasingly important role in meeting global demand for the critical minerals essential to advanced manufacturing, energy technologies, and national security. GreenMet believes that long-term partnerships and responsible resource development will be key to unlocking that potential.
“Nigeria represents one of the most exciting opportunities in the global critical minerals sector,” said Horn. “We look forward to engaging with stakeholders across the region and exploring opportunities to support investment, economic growth, and resilient supply chains.”
GreenMet’s discussions in Nigeria will focus on the continent’s growing role in the global critical minerals economy and the importance of fostering partnerships that support long-term development and supply chain resilience.
In parallel, GreenMet continues to advance its broader Africa strategy, including ongoing engagement in Cameroon, where the company sees significant long-term potential for collaboration. Together, Nigeria and Cameroon underscore the growing importance of West and Central Africa in the future of critical mineral supply chains.
GreenMet’s growing engagement in Africa builds upon the company’s broader international efforts to strengthen critical mineral supply chains through strategic investment, project development, and international collaboration, including ongoing work in Greenland and other strategically important jurisdictions.
