GreenMet CEO Drew Horn to Lead Strategic U.S. Business Delegation to Copenhagen and Greenland

FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE

Washington, D.C. — Drew Horn, Chief Executive Officer of GreenMet and a former senior U.S. government official who led the nation’s critical minerals strategy during the first Trump administration, will be visiting Copenhagen and Greenland from April 29 to May 8, 2025. Mr. Horn is leading a private delegation of U.S. business leaders and investors to advance strategic projects across key sectors including natural resources, infrastructure, and technology.

GreenMet is a mission-driven firm that serves as a conduit between private capital and government initiatives, with a strong focus on securing domestic and allied sources of critical minerals, the foundational materials for defense systems, advanced manufacturing, semiconductors, and other high-priority industrial applications.

As the global competition for strategic resources intensifies, Mr. Horn’s visit reflects the growing importance of Greenland in the geopolitical landscape. He will be engaging in high-level meetings with Greenlandic and Danish leadership to strengthen commercial ties and support long-term collaboration between U.S. and Greenlandic partners. The visit is part of broader efforts to align private investment with U.S. national priorities around supply chain security, economic competitiveness, and international cooperation.

A key stop during the trip will be Narsarsuaq, Greenland, where Mr. Horn will visit the site of Tanbreez, one of GreenMet’s strategic mining partners. Tanbreez holds one of the world’s largest deposits of rare earth elements and critical minerals essential to both industrial and defense applications. The visit highlights the deepening private sector collaboration between the United States and Greenland, as well as growing U.S. interest in responsible development of key resources in the Arctic.

“GreenMet is focused on forging the partnerships necessary to secure access to critical minerals in a rapidly changing global environment,” said Mr. Horn. “This delegation underscores our commitment to building strategic and lasting relationships that benefit both U.S. industry and our allies abroad.”

Mr. Horn’s work closely complements ongoing efforts at the White House and in Congress to bolster America’s industrial base and reduce strategic vulnerabilities. The visit will also explore pathways for public-private collaboration in Greenland’s emerging sectors, from mining and infrastructure to logistics and regional development.
